Rivage Investment, an investor in the energy transition

Rivage Investment is an independent asset management company founded in 2010, focusing on the debt financing of infrastructure projects (in particular renewable energy, telecoms infrastructure, transport, etc.). The company manages several investment funds with total assets under management of €7.7 billion. Our customers are French and foreign institutional investors (insurers, pension funds, corporates, etc.).

A major player in the energy transition financing segment, Rivage Investment is launching a new €250m impact investment fund (the EUCLIDES fund) focused on debt financing for European start-ups and scale-ups involved in decarbonisation. The fund’s target companies are developing innovations with a high environmental impact in sectors as varied as mobility, renewable energies, energy efficiency, the circular economy and low-carbon industry (‘Climate Tech’).

We are looking for a high-potential intern to support the Climate Growth Debt team in analysing investment opportunities for the deployment of the EUCLIDES fund.

The company currently employs around fifty people of different nationalities. Rivage Investment is continuing to grow strongly and we are recruiting regularly to our teams.

Functions

The current Climate Growth Debt team consists of an activity manager, an investment director and a senior analyst. The main tasks of the future intern will be :

  • Analysis of the fund’s themes and identification of investment opportunities: market monitoring and analysis, analysis of innovative technologies and competing companies, identification of investment opportunities, etc.
  • Analysis of investment opportunities: meeting management, financial analysis and business plan modelling, drafting investment memoranda
  • Helping to execute transactions
  • Working with the in-house ESG team to identify and implement impact indicators
  • Monitoring the Climate Tech ecosystem in Europe (partners, investors, competitors, etc.) and taking part in Climate Tech-related events (Change Now, Viva Tech, etc.)
  • Contributing to relations with the fund’s existing and prospective investors (answering questions, contributing to calls for tender)

Profile

We are offering a student the chance to join a dynamic and experienced team. The person we are looking for will have to convince us of the following aspects:

  • Master’s degree level (Business school/Engineering/University) with a specialisation in finance
  • Good knowledge of corporate finance
  • Strong interest in the Climate Tech ecosystem and innovation
  • Excellent analytical and summarising skills
  • Good command of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in French and English
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing company

Initial experience in investment funds, investment banking, strategy consulting, transaction services or the Climate Tech ecosystem would be appreciated.
